YES THERE IS A SAILING CLUB IN CHIPPENHAM!
That is the answer to many queries from people when I say that I sail in Chippenham.
We are based off Long Close (off London Rd.) and have a lively group of members who enjoy all sorts of activities on the river.
There are races for the keen and competitive, to casual evenings where beginers and children can enjoy learning how to be safe on the water in a variety of dinghys, rowing boats and canoes.
As well as sailing there is a growing canoe section with training for all levels. We now have a group training for their Duke of Edinburgh awards.
Social events including talks, demonstrations, BBQs, annual dinner and fun evenings throughout the year.
