Sunday Side Results 2007/08

Season 2005/06 A near perfect season saw us do the league and cup double. What more is there to say - a tremendous season, a tremendous group of lads and the team disbanded whilst on the top. Well done everyone concerned.
End of season 04/05 After five games the Sunday side was going to fold, an in flux of players and the emergence of Cally as a goalkeeper turned the season around and the side never looked back from game six. We reached a final, had a good day out - but lost and despite scoring 43 goals in the last six league games and conceding only 2 we just fell short of promotion by two points - an awesome performance given the poor start we made. Not too many lows outside of the first five games of the season but loads of highs. Tozzie scoring 49 for the season (10 in one game) was special, Iain Parsons scoring just one was equally special. The final was a great day out and the performance against Royal Oak (Wilts Cup Finalists) in the semi final of the Pete Fardell was pleasing. However the most pleasing aspect of the season is the camaraderie amongst the squad and the style of football we play. Surely we must win something next year.
P.S. Has anyone seen Dave Browns Trousers?
