The band is very proud of our dancers, they very much link us to the audiences at various gigs. They always add colour, vibrancy and movement to our performance. They practice alongside the rest of the band on Tuesday evenings at Coral Cove. The dance practice consists of a warm-up session followed by rehearsal of dance routines. We sometimes have dance tutor Rachel Achol de Garang, along to run workshops and give the dancers new ideas for their routines. They also regularly attend dance workshops in Bristol and Swindon for inspiration. We always welcome new dancers, male and female, to the group, if you are interested in performing with them why not come along and join in one evening. |

Workshops

We have strong links with other samba bands, Bristol Samba being one of them, and the lovely Rachel Achol de Garang (one of our tutors) from Bristol Samba held some dance workshops to celebrate her graduation at the end of June. Our dancers took part in African, samba and Arabic workshops which were just wonderful. Our dancers are always looking for new ideas and they certainly found them!
