 Welcome Acres News - Online. Acres News is the Quarterly News Letter for the Forty Acres and Eastleigh Area Community group.
The group was formed in early 2000, as a steering group to work with Sarsen Housing Association to help decide what the Local residents of Eastleigh Road, Forty Acres, Pines Road and surrounding areas would like done to the derelict ground, locally know as the playing fields. |

Consultation with local residents in the area has taken place over the last two years, this included sending out a questionaire. The results from the questionaire concluded that the local residents felt that the area of land needs to be improved and the general consensus was that the area would benefit from a mix of both housing and play facilities.
Voting for one of the Four options took place on Sunday the 30th September at the Cavalier in Eastlegu Road. A total of 42 people Voted and the results are as follows.
Option B - 3 Votes, Option C - 21 Votes, Option D - 13 Votes, and Option E - 5 Votes. So with exactly 50% of the Vote Option C has been declared the Prefered option.

Devizes Carnival 2001
