What the People Say.

Here are five members of the community group and what they have to say about the issues raised.

Mark Talbat - I have lived in this area all my life, in the "house with the flowers" in Kingsley Gardens. I am commited to making our neighbourhood a clean, safe and pleasant place in which to live, an area to be proud of.

Karen Drabble - I am married and three small children. I ahve lived in the area for over three years. I have been involved with the group from the early stages. I have never been involved with anything like this before but I find it rewarding to think that we can make a difference to the community that we live in.

Jean Owen - I live locally and I am a labour councilor for this ward. I drive for LINK, and deliver library books for the housebound. Regarding the Forty Acres Recreation area, my concern is the children, who's other option is to play in the streets. If for no other reason than to provide a safe playground for them , we need to develop this site. The response shows that a lot of people are interested.

Patsy Hehir - Born in Devizes and currently living in Pines Road. I feel that the area needs to be developed as a community. Children need a safe area to play. Car parking needs to be addressed. I hope that the group can hold events of interest to most of the residents.

Linda Rumble - I have always lived in the area. I hope that the community group can help to bring about improvements to our neighbourhood. I would like all residents to be able to live peacefully in the security of their homes within a friendly and safe environment.
