FC ST GEORGE BURY BEREBERRY
 | Fc St Georges Player Manager JS Glasson outfit continues to mount a serious challenge on promotion this season , to division one of the Frome & District Sunday league . with a glitzy performance at St Georges . against visiting fourth placed side. Bereberry Club , winning 11-2. Glasson opted to stay with the same starting line up who drew last week with Three Swans. making one forced change Portugese Henrik Da Silva in a straight swap for central defender Nigel Chantley.
Ten –Man Bereberry arrived late and went straight into the game un prepared. Relegated last season from div one , Bereberry came to St Georges on the back of a superb win against division two underdogs Twelve bells beating them 7-4 and Glasson had no illusions this was going to be a walk over. it turned out to be . The game got off to a flyer from the home side with Wallis heading over from close range and the keeper thwarting Mikey Payne on two occaassions , Kelly and Da silva both tested the keeper from long range both shots flying over. The home side warranted more goals considering the amount of chances they created. But they finally broke the deadlock with a 20 yard screamer from Rory Kelly on the half hr 1-0 Kellyt given plenty of space and time to place his superb shot., the home sides second came from Fellow Midfielder Mark davies who finished off a clinicnly three man move involving Simon Clarke and Da Silva with a curling shot five minutes later 2-0. Clark who joined the side in pre-season has impressed well as right wing back and nearly made it three but sliced his shot wide before the break. Bereberry kicked off the second half and had a real go at getting back into the game but the longer they went on and gambled pushing players forward the more they were hit on the break, and after fruitless attempts the home side grabbed a third Striker Mark Wallis powerful low shot slotting home under the keeper 3-0. Wallis was then replaced with Striker Stuart Green. Manager Glasson was also delighted with his skippers performance saying” Crucy properly covered every blade of grass and has great techinal ability and he brings everyone into play.” It was Crucifixs pass down the left channel that found striker Mikey payne who having had a unrewarding first half jinxed his marker before feeding a dangerous ball into the box, unmarked Glasson had the easiest of tap ins to get the first of his brace,4-0 seven minutes later Glasson headed home his second of the game 5-0, Crucifix again using the left channel route, this time Clark took the ball out wide before delivering a pinpoint cross that saw the veteran Welshman pitch home his sides fifth. Rory Kelly grabbed the sixth eluding two defenders and rounding the keeper for his second of the game 6-0. Frustrated Striker Mikey Payne though he had finally scored on 65 mins, after a one on one with the keeper but his goal bound shot kit the far post and bounced kindly into the keepers arms. Mark Davies was then replaced with Polishman Daruis Snedzic . Payne was not going to miss out on the scoresheet and promptly scored hat-trick He Headed home Crucifixs cross from close range, struck a left foot volley from just inside the box for his second and promptly jinxed and turned the keeper before slotting one in with his right, 9-0. Stuart Green who should have buried one the minute he came on linked up with Daruis snedzic to grab his first league goal of the season 10-0, Da Silva limped off and was replaced by john green Bere-berry grabbed what was merely a consolation goal after they managed to break the home defence and Put the ball past a Bewildered Alex Makwana who had been a spectator all match. 10-1. Central defender Lee Kennedy finished off the mauling after ghosting into the box and bundling the ball from three yards. Final score 11-1
