Can you please tell me where the name of your cricket club originated from? As I'm not familiar with a Royal Oak in the Moredon area. Thank you

Bring back Roger. When's the web site going to be updated? Give it to Ian Moreton, hes got plenty of time!

Just saw that you were looking for new players and thought if you still need some I'd be quite happy to play. I play in the Tuesday night league for Ashbury but I am looking for a Saturday team too. Cheers

Nice site, stumbled across it by chance. My dad used to play and umpire in the 70's, my brother also used to play and mum made the teas. Do they still wander off to the pub after the match, always remember going to The Steam Train and White Hart?

Good to find that the club is still going strong and, seemingly, successfully. Whilst I did not play for the club, my grandfather Albert, my dad Ivor and his brother Ken did. I still recall fond memories of walking the boundary with them at the ground and the club trips to Weston-Super-Mare, in two or three coaches as I remember. Does the club still award the Albert Sturmey Trophy? Wishing you all the best for the coming season Do you have an archivist collecting or collating information on the club

Probably the best season for Moredon in my 37 years with the club. What a pity my own contribution was so c**p. Here's to another great season next year.

yes well done lads on promotion, but it leaves me wondering on just how things might have been if dave collins would have opened all season.you would have won the league with 3 games to go and just seeing that comanding figure at the crease has got to be a positive move for the club, now come on skip , think about i!

It's good to see the old club thriving (ex-player circa 1959)

why doesnt dave collins open the batting for you lot.he has a good technique and can get on with it when he has to.wasted down the order the captain's thinking must be brought into question!
