Reunion at The White Hart
55 Ex-Headlandians attended the reunion arranged by John Turner. All the planning, preparation and publicity during the last 6 months had proved worthwhile, with a marvellous evening at the White Hart.
By 8pm the room was full of 50 year olds greeting long lost class mates, sharing information and catching up on 35 years of gossip. Without fail everyone entered the spirit of the evening, the room was full of the sound of laughter right through until 12.15 when the landlord evicted everyone. It was a pity that it had to end. Thanks go to Kate Goodenough who collared everyone to complete a guest book and issued 'name' badges. At 8.30 Peter Taylor (photograher) and John attemped without much success initially to organise a group photo with all 55 in shot. After some cajoling we managed to squeeze all 55 at the end of the skittle alley, standing, siting, some on chairs others on the floor. That was followed by a number of group photos of old classes. Thanks to Lisa (Gough) Stephens who accepted the challenge of collected cash from anyone who wanted a photo, (well done Lisa. In total more than 50 photos were ordered and have been posted. There are plenty of spares copies at present which John has for sale, if anyone else is interested.
