Jo Jingles classes coming in January 2005
Jo Jingles is the leading national provider of structured and interactive Music and Movement classes for babies and children aged 6 months to 5 years. The classes are tailored to specific age groups, and offer fun music, singing and movement with an educational slant. Jo Jingles classes are coming to the Salisbury, Amesbury, Andover and Durrington areas from January 2005.
The classes teach children to play percussion instruments expressively, to sing songs, hold a tune and find the rhythm to move and dance to, whilst following a carefully structured educational programme. The older children also cover musical elements including pitch, tempo, dynamics, timbre and texture, and basic notation. Above all, the children have lots of fun with Jo and his friends whilst learning about music in a stimulating and secure environment. Research has shown that music has an enormous part to play in a child's early development, and according to Dr. Miriam Stoppard, "A child is more confident, usually speaks early and gains an early grasp of the rules of communication if started early in clapping games, group activities and musical games."
Jo Jingles classes will be led by mother-of-two Becky Ewins, an experienced primary school teacher and accomplished singer and musician. She can be contacted on 01980 626562 for further information. She and Jo look forward to welcoming you soon!
