THE ULSTER ASH GROVE
The Ulster Ash Grove is a project at the National memorial Arboretum at Alrewas in Staffordshire. The Ulster Ash Grove was originally intended to provide a living tribute to all the men and women of the Armed Forced who had lost their lives as a result of terrorism in the recent troubles. The scheme envisaged a grove of trees, one for every lost life: every tree bearing a name tag. This grove lies at the heart of the now expanded scheme, which also contains memorials to those men and women of the Royal Ulster Constabulary, GC and its reserve and its Reserve and the Northern Ireland Prison Service who were killed in the campaign against terrorism and to restore peace.
