The Bike-Shed Studio Theatre
Pickwick Theatre Company has been lucky enough to be able to build a studio theatre from scratch, within the Pound Arts Centre, Corsham.
The facility began life as a Primary School classroom, measuring just 30ft x 30ft, but now boasts all the usual technical paraphernalia of a theatre, and seating capacity for around 50 persons.
Over the course of 7 years the Pickwick team have installed raked seating, theatre lighting facilities (over head grid and power circuits), a surround sound system and technical control balcony. The diagrams below depict two typical layouts for the studio, each one used according to the demands and requirements of the plays/works being performed.
