Branch AGM

The Branch AGM took place at the Methuen Room, Methuen Arms Hotel at 19:30 on 11th March 2008.
Mrs Pat Mosdall replaced Mr Iain Johnston as Secretary. The Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer and Welfare Officer were re-elected. The President - Wg Cdr Steve Rover-Parkes paid tribute to the recently deceased Vice President John "Jock" Cruikchank for his many years of dedicated service in the RAF and RAF Association. He declared that this was the end of an era.
It brought home to members that many WWII veterans have passed on, but there are many families of those injured and killed in more recent conflicts who still require our welfare support. Our Vice Chairman commented that during his recent ill health he had experienced the support at first hand, both from the branch and at Flowerdown House while recuperating.
The audited branch accounts were presented and accepted and reports given by the Welfare Officer, Wings Organiser and Air Cadet Liaison Officers with Chippenham and Malmesbury Squardrons.
