"NOT FOR OURSELVES ALONE"
(NON NEBIS SED VOBIS)
Our objectives are to promote the Association locally and recruit new members. We are a small part of The Royal Air Forces Association that has members worldwide. These are serving & ex-serving members of the Royal Air Forces Family.
So what are we all about?, in a few short words:
Preserve the memory and honour the members of the Association who have died in our service. Provide welfare, support and facilities when called upon for ex-serving & serving members of our Air Forces, usually in liason with the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund. This is achieved by charitable means, from donations from public & organisations and fund raising events from the members. (raffles, auctions, dances)
The Branch which has its own premises in Old Town has a membership totaling nearly a thousand members including families and friends. The majority living in the local area with a few living in different parts of the world. To raise funds for our dedicated charity (Wings Appeal) and promote the comradeship of the Association the Branch has a Club where we hold our meetings and social events. Use is also made of the Branch Club as a meeting venue for other ex-service organisations including the RAF Lyneham Old Boys Association. Do you miss the comradeship of your service days come and meet like minded types in the comfort of our Branch Club in Old town. Bring your friends as well we are a friendly bunch.
