Salisbury Dyslexia Association
The teaching methods used by members of the Salisbury Dyslexia Association are suitable for all types of reading and spelling difficulties.Reading and spelling difficulties may be due to processing difficulties of the brain in the interpretation of sound and vision.
If you are concerned about your child's progress in literacy and/or numeracy, you are welcome to call our free hot-line where a member of the SDA will be able to advise you. Intervention is more effective at seven years old than at secondary age.
Jo aged 26:
'I had ear infections and poor hearing as a toddler. I was struggling to learn to read in year 2. My teacher said I would never be a high flier.
I went to Salisbury Dyslexia Association and went on to the University of Cambridge to read History. I am now a Head of Department, teaching history, in secondary school!!' |
