8th Legend Open 2008

Venue - Bracknell Leisure Centre start time 9.30am

Saturday 23rd of March 2008 saw the return of the Shotokan Legend Open held in Bracknell. With karateka coming from as far away as Scotland and even the Netherlands there were a lot of competitors 7 of which were from Salisbury.
After a short wait the competition was on with the first event. All members who entered did very well with a total of 6 titles being won. Everyone did very well and after competing we all watched a good display of karate from all who entered.
Well done to everyone who entered hope to see you all next year.

Simon Blackman: 1st - 9th-4th Kyu (14-15years) kata, 2nd- 9th-4th Kyu (14-15years) kumite.
Sarah Belk: 3rd - Ladies 9th-4th Kyu Kumite
Rachel Jackson: 2nd - Ladies 9th-4th Kyu Kumite, 3rd - Ladies 9th-4th Kyu Kata
Richard Cox: 3rd - Mens 9th-4th Kyu Kata

Well done to Karen, Rob and Jo who competed extrememly well but failed to earn a podium standing. Train harder and next time you might be luckier!
