I'm not saying JC was mental but: He used to tell us stories about how he lost his car gambling, once tried to kill a young lad who dared to take the ball past him (that was his last game for us) and also threatened to kill Danny Phillips if he didn't get out of the box quicker (I don't blame him).
Stuart 'Monty' Philpott - GK
Another goalkeeping legend. Turned up 30 seconds before kick off, put on his shirt (which looked miles too small), put out his fag and was ready for action. Made some awesome saves.
Richard 'Beany' Bean - GK
Quality 'keeper, but I've got a feeling he started the trend for our players losing their hair. Shitey, Millsy, Stu D to name a few have followed in his illustrious footsteps. He could boot the ball f***ing miles as well - I'm envious.
Paul 'Bricko' Brickley - GK

Tony 'Tozzer' Rosling - DEF
The man is a true great. Played until he was old and fat, but still played well. He could still do a job!
Neil Newport - Utility Man
Neil once tried to kill some people on the pitch - good bloke though!
Ian Partington - DEF
I don't know if he ever had pace or hair, but if he did it was obviously a long time before he played for the us. Good bloke to have in your team and a lovely 'tache.
Martin 'Mart' Bray - MID
Martin is one of the greats. He is still willing to put his body on the line for the cause. At the end of the 2006/07 season he damaged his ankle, but still carried on - he's 165 years old.
Graham 'Ginge' Pearce - DEF
Loved by many, hated by most! Gave everything he had in a Rovers shirt, but left after the 2005/06 season when we failed to get promoted. Might be welcomed back to the flock one day. Oh, and he was ginger.
Danny 'Lloyd Lloyd' Phillips - MID/STR
Serious toenail and mouthcheese issues. Midget of a man/boy. Always welcomed back with open arms/legs.
Ben 'Benny' Phillips - MID
Probably the most talented player ever to wear the famous shirt. Won the League's player of the year. Had a great touch.
