Care and understanding

While the ‘3 Rs’ may be the cornerstone of education, at St Mary’s we believe in the ‘whole child’ approach. St Mary’s children understand the importance of looking after one another. They are healthy (St Mary’s has achieved a Healthy Schools Award). They are aware of different cultures (teachers from Marlborough’s twin town of Gunjur, in the Gambia, visit during the summer). And, despite having a predominantly Christian schooling, they are introduced to other faiths (trips are made to a mosque in Swindon). Let the final word rest with the Ofsted inspectors: “An air of care, consideration and Christian love permeates the school.”
