Strictly Strays Medical Fund

"Strictly Strays Medical Fund" was formed by Angie Newman, the stray dog kennel manager of the Drove Veterinary hospital in Swindon. Angie saw a growth in the number of unwanted pets in the dog pound with health problems. Many have skin problems often caused by flea allergies which have been left for a long time and never treated. Another common problem are growths, many of which could be removed successfully. However, as always the problem is "no funds".

It is often necessary to beg a local charity to take on a stray and use their funds to pay for much needed treatment. Often we are lucky, but we can see our luck soon running out. So we decided that it was time to do something about it.

We will also financially support other charities by providing payment for medical treatment, which means they can use their money for other uses of importance such as education, and providing better facilities for animals in their care. By helping charities financially this will mean more space and funds for other needy animals.
