Welcome to Swindon Civil Service Cricket Club
 | Swindon Civil Service are one of the towns oldest established cricket clubs. The club was formed in 1951 and one of our founder members, Don Gill is our club President and still has contact with the club. The club always used to play friendly fixtures at weekends but joined the wiltshire League during it's formation in the early 1980's.Having been formed in 1951 the club has had differing degrees of success but in the year 2000 the club celebrated winning a historic double.
The Morse Shield was won for the first time since 1981 and was followed in early September by the Wiltshire League Division 3 championship.
The club are now looking to build on that success and develop a youth structure will ensure the club's survival long into the 21st century and beyond.
Just recently one of our members has qualified as an ECB coach and due to his contacts with the Wiltshire Cricket Coaching Board another of their coaches will be joining the club for the 2001 season.
We see the development of youth cricket as vital for the future so keep watching the site for details of Youth Coaching for the year 2001.
The club currently play their home games at the Civil Service and Nalgo sports association ground in Cricklade Road Swindon, the club moved to it's present location in June 1959 after previously playing on what is now the athletics field on the county ground extension. and in terms of league cricket will be playing in Wilts Division 2 during the 2001 season.
Full details of youth coaching , 2001 pre-season etc etc will appear on this site when full details are known.
