Swindon & Cricklade Railway

Wiltshire's only standard gauge heritage railway

Based on the site of Blunsdon Station between Swindon and Cirencester, the Swindon & Cricklade Railway is being built on the trackbed of the former Midland & South Western Junction Railway.
Today, visitors can enjoy all the facilities they expect from a Heritage Railway centre. But it is worth remembering everything they see has been re-created by volunteer labour. Rolling stock, track, locomotives and building materials are all delivered by road.
Visit the Railway's main web site for information about future events and for more news about the planned extension towards Swindon.
This extension is now progressing on a weekly basis, and a map of the route, along with news of progress, will also be found on the main web site.
