North Wiltshire Region Musical Events Diary
At the beginning of 2005 representatives of some of the principal amateur musical groups in North Wiltshire and the surrounding region got together to create an informal 'anti-clash' register of their future public performances.
This site is primarily intended to support this by providing the information needed for planning and scheduling in a clear and unambiguous calendar format. This can be accessed by following the link "Event Calendar"
However, members of the general public are most welcome to use this site to see what is going on in their area, and to discover the breadth of choice available from these talented amateur groups. For access to more details about a particular society's activities, a links page is also included. |
About the 'Anti Clash' Diary
Participation in the 'anti clash' diary is purely voluntary, and it should not be construed as seeking to place any restrictions whatsoever on the dates chosen by musical societies for their performances. The idea behind it is simply to try and avoid clashes with similar groups in adjacent areas. By doing this, competition for audiences is minimised, and organisations that rely on augmenters or specialists' assistance for their activities have the best chance of procuring them.
We would be delighted to welcome any orchestra or similar sized instrumental ensemble, operatic society or choir who would like to promulgate their dates on this site. Please e-mail using the form provided.
