STOLEN STATUES
Nine statues have been recovered in the Warminster area, in the week commencing 10th October 2005 and the Police are finding it difficult to find an owner. It is suspected that the items are stolen and obviously we would like to return them to their lawful owner. The statues appear to have come from someone’s garden, and if you have any information as to who may own these items, please contact Warminster Police Station.
SUSPECT VEHICLE
Please be on the look-out for a Ford Transit vehicle, registration number G608 UYN. The vehicle and it’s occupants are suspected to be involved in minor thefts from sheds, industrial estates, etc. The vehicle and it’s occupants have also been seen asking for scrap metal in the Westbury area. If you see the vehicle, please contact your local Police Station. Please record times, dates and description of occupants if possible.
WARMINSTER TOWN PARK
Concerns have been raised by local residents regarding damage, intimidating behaviour and alcohol misuse in the town park at Warminster. A multi-agency meeting has beeen held and several ideas are being progressed in order to address these concerns. One of these ideas was to establish "The Friends of Warminster Park" group. This will involve local people who can effect these changes by consultation and agreement with various agencies. If you would be interested in being involved in this worthwhile project, please contact the Town Clerk, Heather Abernethie at Dewey House, North Row, Warminster.
SHED/GARAGE BURGLARIES
Please be aware that Warminster is experiencing a slight increase in the number of burglaries to garages and sheds in and around the town.
Items that are stolen are foodstuffs, tools, electrical items and pedal cycles.
Please do not become a victim of crime and especially during the run-up to Christmas, ensure your property is secure.
