I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you as the newly appointed Neighbourhood Watch and Crime Reduction Officer for the Community Safety Department covering the geographic area of West Wiltshire. My colleague Kate Turner, who will be covering the North Wiltshire area, and I, look forward to working with you in the future.
Whilst I will endeavour to assist you in whatever way possible, delays may be likely in the immediate future as a result of current training restrictions. My authority to give crime reduction advice will also be limited for the next six months until I undertake the necessary training that will allow me to assist you in this field. I will, however, be able to make note of your Neighbourhood Watch and crime reduction enquiries and report back to you after recommendations from more experienced colleagues. I offer my personal apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Please be assured that any issues that are bought to my attention will be considered a priority and that I will do my very best to help you as swiftly and as precisely as possible.
If you have no longer an association with neighbourhood watch, or if you know of any changes that have occurred, please provide me with details in order for me to update our records. This will avoid erroneous correspondence and will help to improve our service.
