NHW NEWSLETTER - Nov 05
GOOD NEWS In November 2005, windows to a public house in Westbury were smashed by two youths who were refused entry.Enquiries to trace the offenders resulted in a house in Dilton Marsh being visited and through nothing other than good, old-fashioned policing, the following results were obtained: Five persons were arrested for offences of criminal damage to the public house, possession of Section 1 ammunition and a blank firing pistol, assault on Police and possession of Class C drugs and cultivation of cannabis. Also found in the search of the premises was property suspected to be stolen from burglaries in the area. The individuals arrested are well-known to local Police Officers and this is just another example of how the local Police are effective in dealing with local crime and local offenders. All those arrested are on Police bail until January, pending further enquiries.
