The Hidden Gem

Wroughton reservoir nestles in a secluded fold of the hills at the edge of the Marlborough downs.
It has been steadily developed as a Course fishery since it ceased to be run by the present landlords, Thames water, as a commercial Trout Fishery.
The Trout are long gone and have been replaced by a good head of Tench, Carp( Common, Mirror & Crucian), Rudd, Roach and Bream. The average size of fish is high as they grow fat on the abundance of natural food in the lake supplemented by all the anglers baits !
No day tickets are available on the lake but the quality of fishing ensures that it makes the Membership ticket extremely good value.
