The Environment

The Environment is one of the Partnership's 4 Cross-cutting Themes. These have been selected as being important perspectives from which to consider each of the 8 Pillars.
Reuse:
One way in which we can all help the environment is to reduce the amount of waste we send to landfill. In the local area there is a Freecycle internet facility through which local people can advertise (for free) items they no longer need and are likely to take to the local 'dump' but which might be of use to someone else. No charge can be made for any items so adverstised but you usually need to collect them yourself. Free advertisements can also be placed for wanted items. After signing up to the Freecycle group you will receive e-mails advising you of items available and can post e-mails advertising items you wish to dispose of or are seeking.
