Villages

'The Villages' is one of the Partnership's 4 Cross-cutting Themes. These have been selected as being important perspectives from which to consider each of the 8 Pillars.
Whilst the WVCP and the Warminster Community Area Plan are concerned with the Quality of Life in both Town and Village equally, it is recognised that Villages have some issues in common and some which perhaps are not seen as so important to communities in the Town. Efforts have been and will continue to be made by the Partnership to develop closer involvement by Rural communities principally through liaison with the Parish Clerks. The WVCP is particularly keen to be aware of and involved appropriately in the development of Village or Parish Plans so that these can be refelcted in updates to the existing Warminster Community Area Plan.

The Villages covered by the Warminster Community Area are: Bishopstrow; Boyton; Chapmanslade; Chitterne; Codford; Corsley; Corton; Crockerton; Heytesbury; Horningsham; Knook; Longbridge, Hill, Brixton, Kingston & Monkton Deverill; Norton Bavant; Sherrington; Stockton; Sutton Veny; Upton Lovell; and Upton Scudamore.

See the Links page for some local Village websites.
