WOODEN TOPS
Rangers first away league game was nothing more than disaster. Firstly i like to apologise to the Royal Oak for having to host such weak opposition and secondly to all teams predictions on out homepage. we are not even worthy of 26th place.
The Yews were missing Yarek, chalmers, gregor for this fixture, and Player Boss Glasson rang the changes, Keeper Miliken was replaced by Makawana is goal while Glasson dropped himself amd Kennedy for John Green and Henrik Silva. On paper thier 4-5-1 formation looked a strong side with Scott howse making his league debut up front,. The Yews started brightly With Romain running the right flank superbly and created rangers first chance. his cross was met by howse who tapped it to stuart Green who screwed it wide, A few more wasted chances had the home side in turmoil and they brought themselves back into the game after a ranting and raving spell . It was end to end with The Yews looking comfortable at the back and along the wings. while the Oak didnt look like promotion hopefuls. This was a strongly fought first half with challenges going in with Referee M Forrester letting the game run. Royal Oak scored against the run of play but Lee Romain leveled things after running onto Silvas long ball then running in and picking his spot. Mark Wallis was not able to continue and was replaced by Glasson half way throught the half. Both Teams continued to drive for another goal with chances both ends. The Yews Central defender Nigel Chantly was involved in a penalty box mellee that saw the Royal Oak player being Sent off just before half time.
Lee Kennedy replaced John Green in the break and the Yews should have been relishing a good win over ten-man Oak. But as the half wore on The Royal Oak grew more confident as they ran the show, Rangers simply lost the plot, Youngster Kye Collier was among a handful of players that half that deserved to be on the pitch. The young sweeper can only cover for so much and he was blowing out his ass . He was the only one with the right to give up, even tho he did his job to the end. Rory kelly went off and Miliken came on. The Yews conceded three goals that half that schoolboys could have dealt with. on this performance Glasson looks to have gone back three steps. final score 4-1,

Man of the Match -- KYE COLLIER
One of the best sweepers i have seen and so confident at what he does for his age.
Moan of the Match- Royal Oak officials kept badging the ref abut his decisions
SHOT OF THE Match- Royal Oaks Player who rose above three yews player to power home thier third.
Ref Watch - M Forrester may have been justified
with the sending off. But he needed to be quicker with his decisions as he blew his whistle expecting the players to know why. he did keep the game flowing and kept up with play. 68/100 |
