Yews Passion in the frame!!!
PERMAFRAME 4-1 YEWS
PAYNE
Permaframes first half goals secured a win that tainted the Yews Comeback trail, but were given a rough ride in the seond half by a resurgent Yews who had little to offer in the first half.
The Yews travelled to Mells with a strong squad and Bossman Glasson opted to leave Returning defemders A pringle and N Chamtly on the bench alongside Mark Wallis . lee Romain was the only regular missing from the squad . This may have been a error on the managers part as thier was little in his squad that could match the aerial presence the home side had and there were dispondant perfromances from those who didnt like the changes he had made to the side that beat Royal oak. Once Wallis , pringle were brought into the frey the Yews became more confident and took the game to the homeside who started to look uneasy.
The homeside had opted to kick with the wind in thier favour and every ball foward was long and if u didnt read the bounce on the stoney feeling pitch u were going to get yourself into trouble. and with the Yews standing of thier oppenents faar to often it was easy for the homeside to score two goals in the first qtr. it could have been more if Glasson not been perfectly placed to head of the line a wind-curling corner. A third was added before half time.
The lack lusted Yews returned to the secomd half a bit more hungrier after player coach Martin Read read the riot act.His moments of rage and constructive critism directed at himself as well always seem to hit the mark and they start looking like a good team,
The Yews had the wind behind them and thier direct ball foward proved just as rewarding as Mikey Payne brought back the Visitors back into the game. More threats saw Mikey Payne Twice on goal but hit them straight at the keeper, which could have made the game more interesting, but like Royal Oak the Home side became more aggressive and the game was marred with tempers flaring. Nigel chantly physical prensence was evident after replacing John Green just after Paynes Goal and was always in the middle of challenges. Andy Pringle replaced Henrik Da Silva in defence after he replaced the injured Goalkeeper Alex Makwana.Mark wallis came on for the Injuried Rory kelly to give the middle more arieal presence. It became end to end for the rest of the game,THE Yews Stuart Green came close with his snap shot and Ses oyetunga headed over from a Read conrer. But Permaframe got a fourth after Henrik da silva had to deal with a close range shot, his hands reacting to caught the loose ball and head turning out the way from a flying boot , that second he took his eye off the ball he had knocked the ball into his own net.
