The Two-headers Monsters from Player-boss Glasson and the excellent Rory kelly took the Yews wins to four from four ,if you include the home win panel vote against suspemded Greyhound Ath, A own goal helped finish off Permaframe.
Things didnt look rosy before the match, Goalkeeper Makwana and defenders Pringle and j Green were unavailable and it got worse for the gaffa when Romain ,Hadley ,Oyetunga and Byjion all cried off. There was a early wake up call for Andy Horton who was hijacked out of his bed and proberly does not remember nothing about the ninety minutes and Henrik da silva flew in from Portugal to a barrage of texts.
Former Keeper Stuart Green was drafted into his old position. The Defence was unchanged, Kennedy, Chantly, Self and Glasson ,with a makeshift midfield and Payne foraging upfront on his own. Visitors Pernaframe arrived understrenght and were shadow of the team that beat the Yews convincinly 4-1 at Mells.
The first twenty minutes the Yews put thier mark on the game, But the Mark everyone was hoping for spooned 4 chances to make the match game over for the Mells side. The Yews continued to press with Rory Kelly and Mike Payne both hitting half chances. The Breakthrough didnt go the home sides way as Permaframe took the lead on 24 minutes after a throw in was not cleared proberly and the ball was tucked in at the far post .1-0. The match evened out with Permaframe riding on thier luck and the Yews trying to make there extra man work. finally on 39 minutes the equalizer came. Gaffa Glasson continued running upfield after tucking the ball wide to left winger Read who crossed the ball into the middle of the park, Da silva then found Rory Kelly on the right wing who had time to pick out Glasson a yard from goal his dipping cross flew over the keeper and onto the welshmans head for his sixth goal of the season.1-1.The first half ended that way with The Yews still rueing Wallises missed chances. The second half got of to a better start with the Yews starting to pass the ball around alot more. Top striker Mikey Payne who had been quiet first half could only shoot across goal and seconds later head wide.Martin read, andy horton both missed efforts before Rory kelly latched onto Reads cross, his initial header richoeted off the post onto the other and then bounced back into Kellys who ran it into the goal. 2-1.Another good spell of pressure and goal number three arrived, Rory kelly attempted shot was going wide until a defender touched it into the back of his net .3-1
