Asda Fc visit to St Georges would have had a bearing on league placings if either team won. The Yews would been looking at a sixth place finish if Asda lost and they didnt play thier game against Royal oak the following sunday. Glasson outfit who are having a good spell at home were looking for thier fifth straight win at fortress St Georges. The Yews boss had to juggle his light squad around as he was missing key players. The game got of to a flyer with both teams grapplling for control and chances soon came thick and fast Asda having the better closest efforts. the deadlock was broken when Gregor Byjion headed a ball into the path of striker Stuart Green who was challenged by the keeper, the loose ball rolled kindly for the GAFFA to slot in his seventh of the season to make it one-nil.The baying crowd then saw the home side nick a second when Stuart Green tapped home.Asda do have some nice set plays and these caused problems and they soon came back in the game. Two goals in a seven minute spell before half time took the shine of the yews.
The second half was a more like a derby game with tempers flaring and the referee blowing up every five minutes. with half chances at both ends it looked like a draw but then ex-rangers Rob Jacques fired in his second of the match tne minutes from time,The Yews polish import Gregor Bjyion almost immediantly scored from a corner, unmarked and projected his power header just flying over.
