St Matthias & St George Parish Church

Originally Astwood Bank and Crabbs Cross were part of the parish of Feckenham. They were separated from Feckenham Parish in 1950, and then Crabbs Cross was separated from Astwood Bank in 1980. From 1986 to 2008 the priest in charge of Astwood Bank was also the Diocesan Chaplain to the Deaf. The Sacrament is Reserved, however the best description of the parish is ‘Broad Church’ since the congregation varies from traditionalists through to those whose vision is of a more modern and varied style of worship.
