The following is the show schedule.

In any dispute, the written, published show schedule will be deemed to be the correct version in any arbitration

Division A - Flowers Pot Plants, Gardens
Please note.....
The British Rose Society Classifications are in use:-
"Hybrid Tea" is now a "Bush Large Flowered"
"Floribunda" is now "Bush Cluster Flowered"






Rose Section

001 - One vase, bush large flowered, 5 blooms, one variety or mixed
002 - One vase, bush large flowered, 3 blooms one variety
003 - One vase, bush large flowered, one specimen bloom
004 - One vase, rambler or climbing, not more than three sprays, one variety or mixed
005 - One vase, bush cluster flowered, three stems, one variety or mixed
006 - A rose button hole, own foliage

Sweet Pea Section
007 - A bowl to be judged for quality and all around decorative effect, any natural foliage or grasses may be used
008 - One vase, 9 stems, distinct
009 - One vase, 9 stems, mixed

Pot Plant Section
010 - One minature rose, in flower, pot grown, pot diameter not to exceed 9 inches
011 - One plant in flower, pot diameter not to exceed 10.5 inches
012 - One plant foliage, pot diameter not to exceed 10.5 inches
013 - One fuchsia, in flower, pot grown, pot diameter not to exceed 10.5 inches
014 - One standard fuchsia, in flower, pot grown, pot diameter not to exceed 10.5 inches
015 - One begonia, in flower, pot grown, pot diameter not to exceed 10.5 inches
016 - One Busy Lizzie (Impatiens) in flower, pot grown, pot diameter not to exceed 9 inches

Cut Flower Section
019 - three vases, cut flowers, outdoor grown,one kind per vase
020 - Two vases, annuals, one kind per vase
021 - One vase, antirrhinums, 5 spikes
022 - One vase, garden flowers, to face all around
023 - One vase, pinks (dianthus), to face all around
024 - One vase, Gladioli, one specimen spike
025 - One vase, Godetias, 5 stems, any variety
026 - One vase, dahlias, 5 blooms, any variety
027 - Highest Number of flower varieties in a bowl / vase

Gardens - Located in Badsey and Aldington
028 - The most attractive Garden, large or small, must be visible from the road, contributing to the appearance of the village. Special consideration will be given to the judging of small gardens
029 - Hanging Basket, judged at your home, must be visible from the road contributing to the appearance of the village
030 - Garden Tub, (any planted container), judged at your home, must be visible from the road and contributing to the appearance of the village

Division B - Seniors




(residents of Badsey and Aldington, aged 60+ at show date)
031 - A vase of mixed garden flowers, to face all around
032 - five small cakes, any variety
033 Handicraft, one item, free choice, any medium


034 - Picture - painting or drawing - any medium

Division C - Floral art

038 - Colourful contrasts - a modern exhibit, width 24 inches, depth 24 inches, height unlimited

040 - Foliage Beauty - an exhibit featuring foliage, width 24 inches, depth 24 inches, height unlimited

045 - A collection of four different kinds of vegetables

047 - Nine pods of dwarf French Beans
048 - Seven cherry tomatoes on a plate
049 - Five pods of runner beans
050 - Five pods of broad beans
051 - Five Kidney potatoes, to be named
052 - Five round potatoes, to be named
053 - Five onions, dressed, tops not to exceed 3 inches
054 - Five beets, round, tops to be trimmed to 3 inches
055 - Five carrots, long rooted, tops to be trimmed to 3 inches
056 - Five carrots, stump rooted, tops to be trimmed to 3 inches
057 - Five Courgettes
058 - Five Tomatoes
059 - Five mushrooms
060 - A pair of vegetable marrows of the same colour, fit for the table
061 - One head of cabbage
062 - One head of Calabrese

065 - One bunch of Salad Onions - Bunch not less than 3 ounces
066 - Twelve shallots, pickling, not to exceed 1 inch in diameter
067 - A collection of bunched, fresh herbs
068 - One pot of single variety herb, home grown, pot not to exceed 8 inches in diameter
069 - One dish of any other vegetables
070 - Novelty item, the funniest vegetable

Division E - Fruit
071 - Collection of fruit, three plates, three kinds, one kind per plate, outdoor
072 - One dish of raspberries
073 - One dish of gooseberries
074 - One dish of any other soft fruit
075 - Three sticks of rhubarb, top trimmed

Division F - Beer and Wine
All bottles must be clearly labelled both with the class number and the entrant's entry number
076 - Home brewed beer / lager in a green or brown bottle, containing one pint or more of the named type
077 - One bottle wine from prepared kit, in a clear glass bottle, type to be clearly marked on the bottle
078 - One bottle home made red wine, sweet, in a clear glass bottle
079 - One bottle, home made white wine, sweet, in a clear glass bottle
080 - One bottle, home made, red wine, dry, in a clear glass bottle
081 - One bottle, home made, white wine, dry, in a clear glass bottle

Division H - Domestic
All food stuffs must be covered by clear plastic
Any fruit or vegetable used need not be grown by the entrant
Exhibits in these classes must be made and arranged by the entrant

Home Baking
127 - One loaf of home made bread - NOT MACHINE MADE
128 - Five bread rolls, any variety or shape, to be presented in a basket
129 - Five plain scones on a paper plate
130 - Five cheese scones on a paper plate
131 - Five sausage rolls, shortcrust pastry, on a paper plate
132 - Bread pudding, three squares on a paper plate
133 - One round of shortbread, maximum 9 inches across scored into 8 sections
134 - Gingerbread, to be baked in a square or oblong tin, presented out of the tin
135 - Five Home made biscuits, any variety on a paper plate
136 - Swiss roll, plain with jam filling
137 - Victoria spongecake, round, approximately 7 inches across
138 - Fruitcake, to be baked in a 6 inch round tin, judged only if of the correct size and recipe. Recipe (creaming method) 8oz Self raising flour + 6oz mixed fruit + 4oz castor sugar + 4oz margarine + 2 eggs + Milk/water (baking recommended at gas reg 4 or electric 350F / 180C for approximately 1 hour
139 - A Savoury Flan in a pastry case, presented out of the tin / dish in which it was cooked
140 - Fruit tart, cooked on a plate, comprising fruit between 2 layers of short crust pastry
141 - Fruit flan in a pastry case presented out of the tin / dish in which it was cooked
142 - Treacle tart with lattice top, up to 8 inches across
143 - Three peppers on a plate, stuffed with a vegetarian filling
144 - Three meringues - no filling, on a paper plate

Jams and Preserves
All to be in a clear jam jar, top sealed. All except chutney with a wax disc and cellophane cover, chutney with a non metallic screw top cover
145 - One jar of stone fruit jam
146 - One jar of soft fruit jam
147 - One jar of Strawberry jam
148 - One jar of jelly preserve, any fruit
149 - One jar of Marmalade
150 - One jar of Lemon Curd

160 - Decorative greeting card, one item, any medium
161 - Woodwork or metalwork, one item, original construction, not kit form
162 - Model, one item, any medium
163- Hand painted pebble, max dimension 6 inches

164 Design a Stain glass window, no larger than A4
165 - Picture, painting or drawing, any medium

Photography
All photographs to be unframed, unmounted, taken by the entrant, and have a maximum size of 5in x 7in
166 - The Bride
167 - A Evesham Building
168 - Something red

Miscellaneous
169 - A humerous limerick with a local theme. This to be handwritten or typed on a special entry form -available from the Secretary

170 - Collage, theme - Party time, any medium. Size 24in x 36in. (60cm x 90cm). This can be a group / family effort by 3 or more people of any age.
