PANTOMIME

Rupert Segar has offered to produce and direct our Pantomime this year and we shall be holding an informal reading of Cinderella on Sunday 31st August at 8pm in the Villages Hall.
Rupert will then be holding Auditions on 16th & 18th September at 8 pm again at Villages Hall followed by rehearsals every Tuesday & Thursday until the performance in December.

GOLDEN BEAK COMEDY AWARDS

HALF PRICE THEATRE TICKETS UP FOR GRABS
Sixteen Barnstormers are performing Il Fornicazione (a spoof on opera and “A grim tale of adultery, poison and mayhem”) at the Golden Beak Comedy Awards on Sunday 14th September and we would love you to come along and support us. Apart from the normal tickets prices, the Barnstormers are offering half price tickets to anyone who would be willing to help carry a few musical instruments onto the stage at the end of our performance.
The Golden Beak Comedy Awards held at the Theatre on the Steps in Bridgnorth on 13th & 14th September are believed to be the only all comedy one act play festival in the UK. The Drama Groups taking part this year come from a wide area - Wales, Yorkshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, The West Midlands and Worcestershire.

AGM
Please come to our AGM on Wednesday 8th October in Villages Hall at 8pm and enjoy a glass or two of wine with the outgoing committee. Next year we hope to do something special to celebrate 40 years of Barnstorming in Bishampton so do come along with any ideas you may have.
We would welcome new members on the committee and are after nominations for chairperson, as Jill will be standing down after 2 years in the chair.

We were saddened to hear of the death of one of our founder members Christine Trollope in July this year. Christine took part in many productions both acting and directing in the early years of the Barnstormers. We send our condolences to Mike and his family.

On a happier note Congratulations to Julie & Mark Hartshorne on the birth of their second son on 21st July 2003
