Bowood mainline is to undergo a huge investment over the coming years.

A report from the maintenance manager
We are endeavouring to keep disruption to an absolute minimum for passengers, which will help maintain the cleanliness of the track throughout and especially in the tunnels around Bowood.
In addition, an ongoing programme of replacing track will be in operation but this will be done at off peak times.
