The Highways Agency is at present implementing a safety improvement scheme by installing new speed awareness signs and speed cameras on the approach to the village.
This is partly to reduce the number of accidents on the roads of Bowood due to excessive speed (well it is micro scalextric !!!) and partly to raise some cash for new trains. |  |

Hazardous corner warnings
The fourth serious accident on Bentons corner has caused the Bowood Highways Agency to act. A major campaign highlighting the seriousness of speeding in that area was unveiled recently.
The Head of the Highways Agency in Bowood said "I urge all motorists of the micro Scalextric cars to ease off the gas in the approach to this corner."
