Evesham & District Wheelers Cycling Club

Evesham & District Wheelers cycling club was formed in 1947. The main activities of the club are regular Sunday club runs, Road Racing, Time Trialling, Mountain cycle racing, Audax rides, and social activities.
Club room facilities are at Wickhamford Sports Club near Evesham.
Club runs normally start from Evesham High Street on Sunday mornings at 9.00am and cover around 50 to 70 miles to return to Evesham at about 1.00am. There is usually two groups for differing speeds and meeting up at the coffee stop.
There is a regular club magazine 'Wheels' which is posted to all members, with details of forthcoming events, stories, results, notices and exchange & mart.
Reliability Rides: These events held in the spring include a 50 miles in 4 hours and 100 miles in 8 hours.
Time Trials: Regular club evening time trials are held through the summer for club members to compete for club trophies and awards, members of other clubs are welcome on a private trial basis.
Open events include a 10 and 25 mile Time Trial.
Road Racing: The club holds the Annual Vale Road Race in the spring for all categories over a sporting course around Evesham.
Audax; The three counties 200km randonnee is held every August through the stunning countryside of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.
Social Scene: Social evenings are arranged at the club room on an occasional basis, a trip was organised recently to the World Track Championships at Manchester and there is an annual presentation and dance evening every February.
