What's the Point - Well lots actually!

We follow the same rules for the game of chess over the board but if you win then:-
-18 points will be awarded to a mate before the flag falls.
-12 points for a win on the clock plus piece difference.
-Full minutes that are left on the winner’s clock equal points to the winner (one full minute equals one point). Quick play 15minutes each
-If you have more than 12 minutes left on your clock – that is mate within three minutes then the value of the minutes left is tripled e.g. mate in 2 minutes will equal 39 points + 18 + extra material.
-All extra material collected by the winner equal their value in points (piece value: 9 points for the queen 5=Rook 3=Bishop + Knight 1=pawn) Promoted material will equal their new value.
-Only the winner can claim points so if the loser has time left on their clock points will NOT be awarded
-The draw will only equal 6 points plus time difference and piece difference. -If the opponent is down to a lonely king then only one pawn promotion will be allowed- you then must mate with the material left on the board.
-Resignation is not an option- you must play out the game until either a mate or the flag falls.
-If you think your opponent is sitting on a position so only a win on time is possible the adjudicator needs to be called. The adjudicator will look at the position to see if there is a good mating chance and warn the opponent that a move must be made within 30seconds. If the opponent is unwilling to make their move the game will be awarded a mate to the opponent who called for the adjudicator.
