Welcome to the Amateur Radio Society
Hello! Welcome to the Kidderminster and District Amateur Radio Society. You have found our "signpost" website, which is archived and is no longer updated, but it does provide visitors with brief details of what we do, and guides you to our main members' website. We are a group of individuals interested in radio, electronics, computing and all things technical! Kidderminster is in the heart of the beautiful Wyre Forest district of Worcestershire which includes the towns of Bewdley and Stourport-on-Severn. Mobile "hams" visiting the area may like to know that our local EchoLink-enabled repeaters are GB3BY (50.720MHz) and GB3KD (145.7875MHz). GB3KR is also operational on 70cms (433.075MHz) - see our "How To Find Us" page.
We offer free membership to potential new members until September - please have a look at our events, listed under "What's On..." and come along to any of our monthly meetings at our new venue, Brintons Chain Wire Club. We have the use of a large private meeting room with the benefit of an adjacent bar. Meetings start at 8.00pm and are normally held on the first Tuesday of every month - just check our programme of events page.
Please feel free to contact us at any time: e-mail us by clicking on the link. When you've finished browsing, please take a few moments to sign our guest book - it would be good to hear what you think of either of our websites. Many thanks and 73!
