Society
We are a group with an interest in History and Archaeology - whether local, national or international. Meetings generally take the form of a talk by a specialist followed by questions and discussion. Occasionally meetings are led by members when a number of short items of particular local interest can be discussed and a watching brief kept on developments affecting our immediate environs. It is not necessary to be an academic historian to enjoy membership of this society: anyone with an interest in the past can get enjoy our meetings.
