Kidderminster and District
Archaeological and Historical
Society
We are a group with an interest in History and Archaeology - whether local, national or international. Meetings generally take the form of a talk by a specialist followed by questions and discussion. A few evenings are led by members when a number of short items of particular local interest can be discussed and a watching brief kept on developments affecting our immediate environs. Each year it is usual for two talks to be presented by members of the Birmingham University Institute of Archaeology and Antiquity; we are thus kept informed at the 'cutting edge' of archaeological developments. However, it is not necessary to be an academic historian to enjoy membership of this society: anyone with an interest in the past can get enjoy our meetings.
