Malvern Art Club

The club is 133 years old this year. We have no original members left, but there is no shortage of original ideas from our current members. The club holds regular exhibitions, and individual members also frequently arrange their own exhibitions at venues around the country. Work ranges from traditional to the abstract. This includes paintings and drawings in watercolours, oils, inks, pastels etc. Also we have ceramics and sculptures made from various materials. The club arranges visits to many different venues. Recent trips have been to the Ashmolean Museum and Kew Gardens. We have also collaborated with the Malvern Writers Circle to produce paintings inspired by the poems written by the writers. We also liaise with other clubs and organisations for visits and demos, and we organise a "Christmas Jolly" in December. A new project for this year is "Painting Around the Malverns". We shall visit a number of venues around the area between August and October and some of the work will be published in a book. We are always keen to welcome new members.
