 | Sat 18 May - Final issue decided as Gloucester City's defeat means Evesham United take the Southern division runners up place.
Fri 17 May - The last league title is decided as Earlswood beat Atherstone Town to claim the Central division crown.
Thurs 16 May - A late goal snatches the League Cup for Prem South winners Solihull Moors against Southern division champions Redditch United after a very close game.
Wed 15 May - The last county cup final of our season sees Stourbridge edge out Coleshill Town 2-1 at Hednesford Town's ground to win the Birmingham FA Youth Cup.
Wed 8 May - Greenhill are the Northern Division champions after Ellesmere are beaten at Tipton in their final game.
Tues 7 May - Solihull Moors 6-1 win over Stratford lifts them above Stourbridge to take the Premier Division South title, so next Thursday's League Cup final against Redditch will feature two champions.
6 May - We now have to advise that GORNAL ATHLETIC have today resigned from the league, due to circumstances beyond the clubs control - the league table and scorers table will be adjusted accordingly. Clubs please note that Gornal players will NOT be able to transfer to other clubs in the league.
PLEASE NOTE: We are now receiving regular enquiries from clubs interested in joining the league, but please be advised that to be eligible to join the league your first team must play at least at Midland Combination/West Midlands League level.
18 April - PERSHORE TOWN have today pulled out of the league - the league table and scorers table will be adjusted accordingly. Clubs please note that Pershore players will NOT be able to transfer to other clubs in the league.
Wed 1 May - Ellesmere Rangers marked their fifth consecutive Shropshire county cup final by winning the trophy for the fourth time, this time beating former MFYL rivals Shifnal Town 6-0. Meanwhile a cracking League Cup semi final saw Solihull Moors edge out Kidderminster Harriers 4-3 after extra time, and now meet Redditch United in the final.
Thurs 25 April - Double celebration... while Redditch United were clinching a place in the League Cup final tonight their nearest league challengers Cheltenham Saracens were losing their league game to give Redditch the Southern Division title as well ! Meanwhile Hinckley United take the Premier North runners-up spot with a win at Boldmere.
Mon 22 April - Hednesford make it a league and cup double as three extra time goals clinch a 4-1 Staffs Youth Cup final win over Chasetown.
Wed 17 April - County Cup success for Bromsgrove Sporting, as they take the Worcs FA Youth Cup with a 3-0 victory over Kidderminster Harriers.
Tues 16 April - Hednesford Town are the first league champions of the season, winning the Premier Division North with a 3-0 victory over nearest challengers Hinckley United to clinch their fifth MFYL league title.
Thurs 11 April - The league's last unbeaten record goes as Rugby Town are beaten at home by Earlswood Town.
Mon 8 April - QUICK GOALS! - After scoring in the 93rd and 94th minutes in last week's 4-2 success, Southam United put themselves on the way to another 4-2 win by scoring in the 1st and 3rd minutes tonight. Four goals in five minutes ?.....
Wed 20 March - The league's last 100% record goes as Dudley Town win 3-1 at leaders Redditch. Completes a good week for Dudley, who on Monday put Birmingham out of the League Cup.

Ten newcomers for MFYL Ten new sides have been accepted for the 2012/13 season, although only one club - Cheltenham Saracens - have not previously been members of the MFYL. The other new clubs are Atherstone Town, Dudley Sports, Dudley Town, Leamington, Pelsall Villa, Pershore Town, Redditch United, Sporting Khalsa and Tipton Town.
Respective division champions Hednesford Town, Halesowen Town and Birmingham City were duly promoted to the Premier sections as the league continues its five-division format for the coming season. COVENTRY SPHINX 0 BIRMINGHAM CITY 3 (AET)
It took three extra time goals for Birmingham City to finally overcome a skilfull Sphinx side who matched them in an entertaining end-to-end final which was played in excellent spirit and was a credit to both teams. Blues success gives them a double of League and League Cup, and they extended that to a treble with victory over AFC Wulfrunians in an all-MFYL Birmingham FA Youth Cup final on Sunday 13 May.

WHO ARE WE ? - A brief introduction to the MFYL.....
The league was established in 1982 to provide a platform for the youth (under 18) teams of a wide range of clubs from all levels. A total of 117 clubs have appeared in the league at various times since its formation, including Football League clubs Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Coventry City, Hereford United, Leicester City, Shrewsbury Town, Walsall, West Bromwich Albion and Wolves. For the 2011/2012 campaign a 54 clubs are taking part in five divisions. Current clubs come from nine different F.A. counties - Birmingham, Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, Oxfordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire.
