OOOOOO

It is with great regret that we have to report the withdrawal of two clubs - Cinderford Town and Coleshill Town - from the league at the end of February.
The following is an extract from the latest issue of the league's "North 'n South" newsletter:

"Thirteen MFYL county cup semi finalists, two MFYL players selected for England, two highly entertaining League Cup semi finals to come…. This issue should have been all about the good news, but sadly the main events of last week were the withdrawal of TWO clubs from our league – Cinderford and Coleshill.
Cinderford have had a problem with player commitment for much of the season, having to call off several games through insufficient numbers turning up on match nights. Obviously enough is enough…
The Coleshill situation, however, is beyond belief. The club’s management attempted to withdraw the team on the eve of the season, but decided, after negotiations and being advised of the disciplinary procedures, to continue with what has been a very successful youth set-up.
Since then the players and managers have fully justified their “reprieve”, reaching the semi finals of both the League Cup and their County Cup, and winning seven and drawing one of their twelve league games to sit comfortably in the top four of the Premier Division. Now they have suddenly been kicked out of the club.
OK, let’s get back to that good news now…"

The Premier and Southern Division league tables, and leading scorers tables, have been adjusted to delete the records of the two clubs.
