Musyck Anon is a singing group, founded in 1981 by Peter Averis, of Bishampton, Worcestershire.
There are 17 of us altogether, though we often sing in smaller groups. We started life as a madrigal group and we still sing many songs from the 16th and 17th centuries - but we also have a wider repertoire, including part-songs and glees from the 18th and 19th centuries, together with some 20th century pieces.
We rehearse weekly in Evesham, in the room above the gatehouse at the Oat Street Unitarian Chapel, and we perform at all times of the year, sometimes in 17th century costume. Some of our performances are in public places, while others are at private functions, for example, meetings of the WI, U3A, Blind Clubs, Music Societies and the like. Our public performances are publicised on this website.
New choir members are welcome.
