MIXED NETBALL LEAGUE??????????

Our involvement in Mixed netball tournaments recently started with the 'Children in Need' tournament held in November which was organised by Gourmets Netball Club (Kidderminster) in which Gill did the fixtures and oversaw the proceedings on the day. Nearly 1000 pounds was donated to 'Children in Need' On May 19th 2001, Gill Bird and Jayne Hardwick organised a Charity Mixed Netball Tournament in aid of Northwest Victim Support. The outcome was that nearly 1700 pounds was able to be donated to this worthy organisation. The response from these tournaments was overwhelming in that we had to turn teams down because our facilities were just not big enough. Also the men who participated had an absolutly fantastic time and some of them played some excellent netball too! Most of them have been asking "Why don't you start a Mixed Netball League in Worcestershire"? Well, Gill has done a bit of research.... and we have decided to 'Go For It'. If you are interested in helping to form a Mixed Netball League then please leave your e-mail address on Queens Head 'Message Board'. Some of the rules: 1) No more than 3 male players at any time 2) Player must be over 16 to play in the adult section (we will be considering youth mixed Netball if enough response) 3) Only one male player in each of the thirds ie, GD, C, GA or GK, WD, GS in other words you cannot have two males playing GS and GA or GK and GD More details will be given later... so please watch this site!!!
