LISA DAVIES SAVES THE DAY AT PRESTATYN

Super Sub "Lisa Davies" otherwise known as (Gob) came on to play for Queenshead "B" when all was nearly lost. With five minutes of basic coaching before the game started, within the first five minutes she scored the most fanstastic goal we had all seen, that even sister Jayne Hardwick would have been very proud of!
The ball went through the ring without touching the side from 10 yards to the right of the circle. Even though she only scored one goal throughout the game I'm sure it will be the talk in Netball circles for years to come!!!

Watch out Jayne, "Little Sis" is on her way to challenge YOU!!!

WORN OUT QUEENS LOOSE THE BUZZ

Very well done to Queenshead "A" for finishing runners up in a tournament held at Pontins, Prestatyn weekend commencing 15th September where 48 teams participated.

Congratulations also to "Warrington "A" for becoming the eventual winners by 8 goals to 7, in a fiercely contested final.

The best match for Queens was the semi-final which saw the game go into extra time. With the weary Queens fighting hard in the first minutes of extra time to hold on to their 2 goal lead.

Queens eventually won the game but at a cost of using up their physical reserves which I was assured had nothing to do with the "Tequilla Slammers" from the nite before!!! Some excellent netball from all teams in the quarter and semi-finals led to a spectacular game for the final.

With Waddington "A" being the fitter team in the final thoroughly capalising on the lack of BUZZ from the Queens eventually they went on to deservingly winning the match with some excellent interceptions from their Goal Defence and Goal Keeper.

The Queens Head "B" on the other hand won two games throughout the tournament after losing their center Becky with a groin strain. (Hope you recover quick Becky). After a re-shuffle Becky's sister Kate, stepped in and done a marvellous job at WA.

Even tho they lost Becky early on in the tournament, they still managed to score 4 goals against one of the semi-finalists in the Cup but eventually lost the game only 8 goals to 4.

A superb time was had by all Queenshead players and they cannot wait until next year for the return visit and hopefully the CUP!!!!

More match facts, news and gossip to come...........!!

BECKY AND SARAH SHINE AT PRESTATYN

Becky Giles and Sarah Williams were the youngest players for Queenshead at Prestayn but showed a maturity beyond their years. Some excellent defending by Becky, followed by superb passing into the shooters by Sarah.

This formidable duo are also a bit nifty on the dance floor too! We all loved the dance routine to "Hey Baby" the song will always remind us of you both!!!

If only we could get that song out of our heads cos it's driving us mad!!!!!

GOLDEN SHOOTER

Player of the tournament at Prestatyn for me, was undoubtably Rachal the Shooter. Under immense pressure she stayed calm considering she was the target of the opposition but she made sure that every shot counted. Not just in one game but every game!!!

KELVIN WOO'S THE LADIES!!!!!

Thank God for Kelvin the Umpire, otherwise known as "Clark Kent" He showed great organisational skills over the weekend in making sure players knew what courts they were on and at what times they were playing. As the only male umpire at the tournament he was constantly in demand!! How is mates @ the Evening News would be envious. He is some mean machine on the tea making as well!!!!!

We hope you and your girls enjoyed the weekend and Many Thanks Kelvin, or should I say Clark!!!

WORCESTERSHIRE VERSUS THE LONDONERS!!!

We would all like to say to Gavin and Steve from London, many thanks for joining are group!! You were both great company.

After the initial introduction by "Birdy" some of the girls soon stepped in to make them both feel welcome!!.

Steve, if you visit this site, just like to say "Good Luck" to West Ham this season, you never know we may meet again at the FA Cup Final.

Thanks for your support!
