CHARITY MIXED NETBALL TOURNAMENT

The BackGround
It is exactly a year ago we held this tournament with 16 teams at Wolverley. With theirs and our efforts combined we managed to raise 2000 pounds for Northwest Worcestershire Victim Support; For those of you who do not know who Victim Support are, they are a national charity that support victims of crime. Their work may involve supporting a victim of crime when they go to court or it may be helping when someone has been burgled Or just to be there and listen, although they can also give information on police or court procedures All volunteers are trained in supporting victims.
In today's world where the emphasis is heavily on the reformation of the offender the victim can often be "sidelined", Victim Support as a National Charity are constantly fighting for the rights of victims of crime.

This year it is decided that another notable charity which we all take for granted just "being there" would also benefit from our efforts. This charity is the RSPCA They like many other charities struggle to raise funds The work they do may involve giving help to people who for some reason or another have an animal but cannot afford to give the animal perhaps the vital operation that it needs.

So we feel both organisations are worthwhile to benefit from all our efforts.
