Redditch Chess Club

The club meets on Tuesdays (from the beginning of September until the end of May) at Redditch Trades and Labour Club , Bromsgrove Road, which is close to the Town Centre. For most routes follow signs for the railway station (or bus station which is opposite the railway station) and the club is about 100 metres past the railway station on the right going down Bromsgrove Road. From Bromsgrove via the Bromsgrove Highway get off at Webheath, turn right into Birchfield Road at the end of the spiral you come round on (please be careful here as if you don't take this right turn you will be sent back onto the Bromsgrove Highway and will not be able to turn round before Bromsgrove) then first left into Bromsgrove Road. The club is at the top of Bromsgrove Road on the left about 100 metres before the railway station. If in doubt you could always take the M42 to Alvechurch then follow signs for Redditch and railway station.

New members of any standard are welcome. The session starts around 7.00pm. Matches start at 7.15 pm. Anyone interested in joining can just turn up on any Tuesday, for a free first night.

The club is affiliated to The Birmingham League, the Worcestershire County League and the Worcester & District League. There are 4 teams in all, see new members information page for more details. There is also a full programme of club competitions including a quickplay evening or two.
