Established in 1911

This coming year will be a exciting time for our club as we celebrate our centenary year: The green which nestle between the houses at Greenhill (off London Rd) overlooking the Cathedral above the rooftops. The club which has a good membership of Playing and social Members, with Social events going on throughout the year. We invite anyone that would like to play Bowls to join us at our club during the summer months, where club coaches would be on hand to teach the rudimentary rules of the game ,the green officially opens in late April through to late September. All are Welcome we know the game has a stigma of being a game for the older generation, but more and more younger players are coming into the sport,but we do need more to keep the sport alive. It's a ideal game for for the younger element who do not like Contact sports I.e. football, cricket, rugby and such, but wish to be involved in a team sport. The People who have a Physical handicap of some form may also be able to join in the game, and in some cases be able to play and compete with the able bodied players on level terms.
