Bishopthorpe Tennis Club - needs Team Players....
 | A World of opportunity for team players at Bishopthorpe
Bishopthorpe have entered eight Senior teams in the local York Tennis Leagues this year. We now have 2 Mens, 2 Ladies and FOUR Mixed teams. They're all in different divisions, the new ones right at the bottom - you've got to start somewhere! So, it means that whatever your standard of Tennis, Bishopthorpe has the team to suit your style.

Annual GARDEN PARTY !!

Annual GARDEN PARTY
is on
Saturday, July 4th
starting 5pm (until 8pm ...or maybe later!)
in Jane's enormous garden, Main Street, Bishopthorpe
Entry is by Ticket only - £7.50 per head which includes your BBQ food (vegetarian options too, of course!). Drinks can be bought very reasonably at our bar. Tickets may be bought from Jane Parkin or any other committee member leading up to the Garden Party.
This is the one event in our calendar which is definitely NOT to be missed - even though it involves no Tennis (...but there IS a Badminton set for the back garden, though!)
BE THERE !! ....or go hungry.

IAIN MACKIE Tournament

Our annual Iain MacKie tournament (named in honour of a much-loved, former Club Chairman) is just for people who come to the Monday night Adult Coaching with John Moore. It's a 'no pressure' tournament - playing mixed doubles against all the people you've been practicing with all year.
It's just for you to see how you've come along this year - but there are TWO trophies up for grabs. One is male - one female (how you sex trophies is another story!)
So if you're a Bish Monday-nighter, then don't miss this one! |
